Abstract:
The project titled “Comparative Techno-Economic Study of Incinerators and Thermal Power Plants for Disposal of Hospital Waste” was commenced to study the feasibility to produce thermoelectric power by incineration of hospital infectious waste and search for the viability of substitution of currently functional incinerators with thermo electric power plant for disposal of infectious hospital waste. The secondary data was composed by consulting literature present in libraries or published on different websites on internet.
Primary data were collected from Children Hospital and Pattoki Sugar Mills. The data after collection were first sorted, computed and then evaluated to design cost benefit analysis for different projects and to determine the Benefit to Cost ratio, Net Present Value and payback period.
